(Both online or through USPS). \nJune 2nd-4th will be designated as a Dressage Clinic\, and June 4th-6th will be an Eventing Clinic encompassing all three phases of eventing. GMHA’s adult clinics offer participants the opportunity to work with world class clinicians bringing a wide range of experience for riders and horses. These clinics will provide riders wishing to refine and expand their horsemanship skills to gain a deeper understanding of their equine partner while developing techniques on the flat\, show jumping\, and on cross country. \nThis year’s clinicians include Tim Bourke\, Bobby Costello\, Diane Ritz\, Rebecca Vick\, and John Zopatti. \nSpaces are limited and early registration is encouraged!  Entries open on January 10\, 2025. Please carefully read the registration/entry form and sign up for either the Dressage Clinic or the Eventing Clinic. \nAs of 3/12/25 – BOTH clinics are full. If you wish to be placed on the wait list for either clinic\, you must fill out the registration form & submit. Should a space NOT open up you will be refunded all but the $30.00 processing fee. \n\nDressage Clinic participants – Arrival and check-in is on Sunday\, June 1st after 5 PM. Stabling will not be available prior to this time due to the departure of those riders competing in the recognized GMHA June Horse Trials. Scores from each phase are combined. \nDriven Dressage tests are judged similarly to a ridden dressage test\, but in a much larger 40 meter x 80 meter ring. The drivers are required to perform a set of movements which include changes of pace\, circles\, turns\, and extensions\, rein-back\, and halt. Each movement is judged and scores are tallied. \nThe object of cones is to drive through a course of narrowly spaced pairs of cones cleanly within time allowed. Each cone has a ball placed on top\, and any miscalculation will dislodge the ball\, thus incurring a penalty. This phase tests the fitness\, agility and obedience of the horse and the accuracy and skill of the driver. \nThe Arena Trials (AT) includes 3 phases: dressage\, cones\, and arena obstacles. Scores from all phases are combined. \nArena obstacles were created as a way to practice marathon obstacles without a full cross-country marathon. Two obstacles are set up at either end of an arena\, with a start and finish line across the center of the arena. Obstacles consist of large sturdy obstacles marked with gates\, which drivers must complete in the correct order. Competitors are timed as they drive each obstacle twice.
